Our Model

The 4C's Make Sheltered91 a ForCe In The Movement to End Human Trafficking

From the very beginning our vision has included four ways we work to end human trafficking: creating awareness, connecting with victims, caring for survivors and counteracting trafficking through prevention. We create awareness through training and education in the community to inform and empower people to identify and interrupt human trafficking within their sphere of influence.

We connect with victims through in person and online outreach efforts to offer support and services. Through outreach we build trust and create an opportunity for survivors to make a new start.

We promote hope and healing through our trauma informed programs: Restore and Reach.  We provide trauma informed therapy, case management and supportive housing programs.

We counteract trafficking through our Enrich program by connecting with  and educating teens about healthy relationships and staying safe in virtual spaces. We host events and offer trainings for youth groups. 

Caring for survivors

 Sheltered91 care programs are the heart of our mission because what happens after someone leaves trafficking is just as important as getting them out.  

Sheltered91 offers two programs for survivors of trafficking and their children: Restore and Reach. Women typically begin in Restore, where they gain tools, support, and community as they start a new chapter. In Reach, participants live in Sheltered91 housing while receiving affordable transitional or independent living support for up to three years.

Both programs are trauma-informed, strengths-based, individualized, and Christ-centered. Every participant can access group and individual therapy, case management, transportation, basic needs support, and a bi-weekly food pantry.  

Reach Independent & Transitional Living Programs

Participants in the Reach program choose either transitional or independent living depending on their circumstances and availability. Participants are provided with wrap around services to help them reach their educational, career and therapeutic goals.
